What do Aliens Look Like?

The human race has long been fascinated with the idea of extraterrestrial life. We’ve imagined them appearing in all different shapes, sizes and forms, which has only been heightened by incredible alien depictions in science fiction films and publications.

Given there’s no physical evidence to prove aliens actually exist, it’s difficult to answer the question of what aliens look like with any sort of accuracy. Still, this has not stopped researchers, scientists and science fiction creators alike from theorizing what they might look like.

Options of Alien Features

It’s been suggested that aliens may have features distinct from humans, and similarities too. Alien features could be highly advanced (think superhuman strength, extraordinary intelligence and the ability to navigate space) or more alien in nature (think extraterrestrial heads, tentacles, and non-humanoid body structures).

They could have the same number of limbs as a human, or entirely different number and positioning of limbs. They might even have the ability to re-shape, or teleport their bodies under their own will or power. They may even be capable of absorbing energy from stars and other sources in order to sustain themselves.

Speculation of Alien Appearance

On a basic level, aliens may look very similar to humans, or quite different, with a whole range of possible in-between options. Determining the true form of an alien may be difficult to know, as even those traditional aliens we’ve seen in our popular culture hardly tell the full story of what may exist in the universe.

Even scientists are beginning to speculate what forms aliens may take and some suggest that aliens may actually be energy-based, rather than physical forms. This means they might be able to take on whatever shape they please and be completely invisible to us!

It goes without saying that speculations on what aliens look like are all based on guesses, with no hard evidence to back it up. Given this, it’s impossible to give an exact answer as to what aliens look like. All we can do is make educated guesses based on our collective imagination. So while it’s unlikely we’ll ever know exactly what aliens look like until they make their way to Earth, it’s fun to speculate on their form and features.
