Dr. Brenda Grettenberger’s Journey with Dr. Pol
Dr. Brenda Grettenberger has had an incredible journey in the veterinary world, which started with international showjumping and led to a role on the hit reality TV show “The Incredible Dr. Pol”.
The Early Years
Dr. Grettenberger was born and raised in Michigan, spending most of her childhood on a horse. She was on a national and international showjumping team and had her sights set on competing in the Olympics. Getting injured ended that dream, but it didn’t stop her from pursuing a path in the animal world.
In 2005, Dr. Grettenberger went to Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine and graduated magna cum laude and with honors in 2009. Her career began at the Michigan Animal Clinic before she moved to Weidman Veterinary Services, the practice owned by Dr. Pol. She joined in 2013 and worked at the clinic for five years, proving herself to be an essential part of the team with her skill and dedication.
Dr. Brenda Joins the Show
When Dr. Brenda joined the Pol team, she brought with her skill, determination, and a larger-than-life personality. Her bright, bubbly demeanor and considerable veterinary expertise were quickly noticed and appreciated by Dr. Pol and viewers of his show around the world. She brought her eye for detail and passion for solving unique veterinary cases each time she made an appearance on the show.
Her Journey Comes to an End
Unfortunately, in 2018, Dr. Grettenberger announced that she was moving on from the show and Weidman Veterinary Services. She wanted to pursue a different life and career, but she left with the best wishes from Dr. Pol and the entire staff. Her amazing journey didn’t end there, however; she continues to work in the field of veterinary medicine and is still loved by her millions of fans.
