Traci Braxton’s Rise to Fame

Traci Braxton is best known as a star on the hit reality television show “Braxton Family Values.” She is the youngest of the six infamous Braxton siblings and the only one not to have a hit solo record. Nevertheless, Traci has become a star in her own right, as she’s shown the world what it means to have a loving and supportive family.

Traci first came into the public eye in 1990 when her sister Toni released her debut solo album and the entire family performed “Good Life” on The Arsenio Hall Show. From that moment on, she began to explore her own career as she pursued various projects. During this same time, Traci starred alongside her sisters on the short-lived sitcom “Traci’s Boys” in 2001.

The Birth of “Braxton Family Values”

In 2011, Traci and the Braxton family made their return to television with the premier of their successful docu-series “Braxton Family Values.” The series centers on the lives of Toni, Tamar, Traci, Towanda, Trina, and their mother Evelyn as they navigate through the highs and lows of life as well as their relationships with one another and their children.

Traci’s close relationships with her siblings, especially Tamar, have been a major highlight throughout the show’s seven-season run. They have been there for each other through thick and thin, throughout their various relationships, career milestones, and family disputes. The show has helped to paint a more positive picture of their already successful brand and has become their platform for doing so.

The Blip in Traci’s Career

Sadly, Traci’s career has taken a turn as of late. She has suffered two major losses in 2019 alone. First, she lost her long term relationship with music producer and longtime love Kevin Surratt. The couple had been dating for 12 years prior to their breakup.

Also, in June of 2019, Traci announced that she was “leaving Braxton Family Values.” This came as a surprise to many fans, as just one month prior, Traci and her siblings signed on to do a sixth season of the show. It’s unclear why Traci chose to leave the show, as she has yet to give a full explanation.

Where Traci Stands Today

Today, Traci is focusing on her music career and her solo career. She has released new music and has been touring for most of 2019, much to the delight of her fans. Additionally, she has been focused on expanding her brand by launching her own line of eyewear and partnering with a clothing line.

Despite her dip in the spotlight, Traci is doing the best she can to make her presence known. She has remained positive throughout her journey and is looking forward to what the future holds for her. Fans are hopeful that Traci will continue to excel and bring them great projects.
