Understanding the Nature of Ego

It is the inner voice that helps us to stay focused and motivated in order to stay successful in life.

Confronting the Shadow of Ego

In addition to setting and achieving goals, the ego is also our inner critic and can take many negative forms. Here, it serves to foster our insecurities and act as a buffer against being hurt. Negative, distorted, or irrational beliefs that stem from an unhealthy ego can lead us down a road of self-limiting behavior. By embracing a healthy sense of self-esteem and focusing on material achievements and personal successes, we can work towards developing a healthy, confident ego that supports our self-worth and allows us to use our strengths to reach our goals.
