There are also more subtle forms of harassment, such as sending unwelcome gifts, unwanted emails or text messages, stalking, or spreading rumors. In addition, harassment can take place online on social media, with cyber bullying, which can be especially damaging to self-esteem and have serious psychological effects.

Effects of Harassment

Harassment can have both physical and psychological effects. Victims of harassment often feel fearful, threatened, and helpless. They may experience depression, anxiety, and insomnia.
