NFL Teams Playing Tonight

The National Football League (NFL) is back in full swing and tonight’s matchup is sure to excite football fans all around the country. Here are all of the teams that are playing tonight.

AFC Division:

The Indianapolis Colts will host the Denver Broncos in a home game. This will be the first of two meetings between these teams this season. While both teams have experienced some changes in the off-season, the Colts are seen as the team to beat this season by many. Led by quarterback Andrew Luck and the stout defensive line, Indianapolis hopes to build upon its 11-5 record from last season and make the playoffs this year.

The Tennessee Titans will have a tough test against the Oakland Raiders in Oakland. The Titans are coming off a disappointing campaign but have been revitalized under new head coach Mike Vrabel. Marcus Mariota will have a full arsenal of weapons as he looks to lead the Titans to the playoffs for the first time since 2008. The Raiders are a team looking for some stability for the first time in years and the game against the Titans is sure to be a must-watch.

The Houston Texans will visit the New England Patriots in a battle of the two best teams in the AFC. The Texans are led by quarterback Deshaun Watson and a star-power defense headlined by JJ Watt. The Patriots are coming off another spectacular season and will be looking to start 2019 with a big win against the Texans.

The Jacksonville Jaguars will be in New York to take on the Giants. The Jaguars were one of the surprise teams last season and will be hoping to turn some heads this year. The Jaguars have especially made some noise on the defensive side of the ball, with underrated lineman Yannick Ngakoue and All-Pro Jalen Ramsey leading a very talented defense. The Giants, meanwhile, are coming into this season with the hopes of being able to compete in the NFC East with a new coaching staff and Eli Manning under center.

NFC Division:

The Washington Redskins will host the Atlanta Falcons in a matchup of two teams hoping to make a push for the playoffs this year. The Redskins are hoping that rookie quarterback Dwayne Haskins can provide a spark for an offense that struggled last season. The Falcons are a strong team with wide receiver Julio Jones and quarterback Matt Ryan leading the way. They will be hoping to get off to a strong start in 2019.

The Green Bay Packers will be at home against the Chicago Bears in a heavyweight matchup in the NFC North. The Packers are looking to bounce back from a disappointing 2018 season and start fresh with a new coach. The Bears are the favorites to win the division this season and will be looking to show why they are the team to beat right off the bat.

The Dallas Cowboys will get a chance to prove themselves against the New York Jets. The Cowboys are trying to rebound from a poor campaign last season and with Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott leading the way they should have no trouble doing so. The Jets have some talent but have yet to establish themselves as a legitimate Super Bowl contender. This matchup against the Cowboys is their opportunity to prove that they belong.

The Philadelphia Eagles will be traveling to Tampa Bay to take on the Buccaneers. The Eagles have been one of the most consistent teams in the league for the past few seasons and are hoping for another strong campaign this year. The Buccaneers, meanwhile, have plenty of talent on both sides of the ball and will be looking to get off to a good start in 2019.

The final matchup of tonight’s games is between the Carolina Panthers and the Los Angeles Rams. The Rams are led by quarterback Jared Goff and the defense should be stout once again. The Panthers will be looking to put together a strong season behind young stars Christian McCaffrey and Cam Newton.

Tonight’s games should provide plenty of excitement and the anticipation is building. Be sure to stay tuned for all of the NFL’s action and don’t forget to catch the games tonight!
